Thorntons – New Store Design

Towards the end of last year our new concept design for Thorntons opened in Birmingham. More bling, more product talk and more emphasis on Thorntons enormous product range. The perimeter (shown here in the Christmas scheme) uses a magnetic paper background to provide an easily changeable backdrop for promotions and events. Self selection is more prominent as is a more elaborate gift wrapping service. Read more …

Not many images online yet but no doubt they’ll start appearing Read more …

adidas SLVR

Always had a soft spot for adidas, ever since the holdall and gazelle days of the 70′s to doing some work in Hong Kong for them what seems like many moons ago. Anyway here’s a new spot for their SLVR range which launches in February courtesy of their PR machine. Do I detect a Levi’s/Herb Ritts influence in there from the early 90′s? adidas SLVR Spring / Summer 2009 from adidas Read more …

Fast food at the double

Two new(ish) eat in and takeaway concepts. The first is SNOG, a frozen yoghurt takeaway. Full article from Dezeen is here and more pictures from the designer’s, Cinimod here. I particularly like the vertically slatted fascia, which reminds me, although not necessarily being exactly the same idea, of Umbra in Toronto.
