Who we are

We are a small design consultancy based in York and Suffolk. We work in a wide range of design disciplines including architecture, leisure, retail, interiors and all aspects of graphic design including identity, print and online.

Since we started inspire: in 2001, we’ve always worked in a very collaborative way with our core team of ten supplemented by other experts that we know and new partners that we’ve discovered along the way.

Our opinion has always been an important part of our make up, so this blog is the start of our way of recording those opinions and perhaps even sparking some debate. Because we work in different locations we also use it as a place to talk to each other, pass on and store snippets of random and useful (and useless) information.

Amanda George

Amanda has a great deal of experience in a a lot of things many of them to do with retail design, planning and interior design and of course shopping.

Along the way Amanda has worked for Fitch, Portland Design and Rodney Fitch before starting inspire: in 2001.

Peter Schofield

Hugely experienced in all things planning and architectural in the Leisure design field, Peter moved to York to set up inspire: in 2001.

Previously he spent 15 years at various London based practices including Fitch and Sampson Associates before heading north.

Nick Brown

Nick looks after our Suffolk office where all things graphic and online happen! He is a graphic designer with many years experience, and was has worked at several design consultancies including David Davies Associates, Fitch and Coley Porter Bell before spending 5 years as Head of Graphics at Rodney Fitch.
